Private agencies ("commercial fingerprinting services") are authorized by COMAR 12.15.05 to submit fingerprints directly to the Maryland Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) for the purpose of obtaining criminal history record checks. Electronic fingerprint applications produce fast, reliable background check results.
Broadway Services, Inc. (BSI) is a Maryland certified Live Scan private provider authorized by COMAR Regulation 12.15.05 to electronically submit fingerprints directly to the Maryland Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS), for the purpose of obtaining criminal history record checks. This service is provided by fingerprint technicians who have been certified by CJIS. Upon completion, the criminal history record and information obtained is sent directly to you or the agency(s) of your choice.
Results are returned faster to the Board if the fingerprints have been done electronically. When you get your fingerprints done, you will receive a printed verification form with your name, date of print, transaction/reference number and signature of person taking prints.
To avoid waiting, applicants can call 410-563-6949 to make an appointment for fingerprinting services. The fingerprint application can be completed in advance and faxed to (410) 563-6955 if you have an appointment. Print the form from this site.

• Valid Passport
• Certification of Naturalization
• Alien Registration
• Military Identification
• Identification issued by a state, foreign or local government agency
We charge a flat rate processing fee of $20.00. This fee plus all state fees must be paid at the time of fingerprinting unless we have a prior agreement with your company.
